Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

So I have a bunch of pieces of art stashed away in various sketchbooks around my apartment. But I think its my picture of Fa'en that i want to submit the most, maybe ask someone to try their hand at coloring her.

I've seen alot of twi'leks done on deviant, simply put, its to be expected, they are the sex symbol of Star Wars, though I like the Faleen myself. And in the world of RP Lethan twi'leks are not all that rare. Everyone wants to be desired, everyone wants to be at risk...well alot of girls do. Lethan twi'leks are very valuable and are often kidnapped by slavers. People like that, I have to admit its thrilling when my character has to fight for her life against slavers. Its exciting and I find it empowering to win.

But enough about role playing. This is about art. Basically I've been trying to branch out to non-humans. Though most of my subjects still have a basic human structure. Besides the ribcage placement and curvature of the legs, the lekku on twi'leks has caused me a bit of trouble as well.
